Valéria M. Pequeno has a degree in Computer Science from the Universidade Estadual do Ceará (1996), a master’s degree in Computer Science from the Universidade Federal do Ceará (2000) and a doctorate in Computer Engineering from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2011).
She was a junior researcher at the Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores (INESC-ID) between 2012 and 2017. She is currently a professor at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa Luís de Camões and a visiting professor at the Escola Superior Náutica Infantes Dom Henriques Her main activities are: data integration, schema mapping and ontology mapping, web data, semantic web, data quality, conceptual modeling, ETL (Extract-Transform-Load).
